I was an umpire for many of the games Jackie played. She was a great athlete and better person. While we didn’t always agree, we respected each other. May she rest in peace. Butch Parnes

Jackie was a beautiful person. I had the pleasure of playing next to the GREATEST 1st Basewoman ever to play slo-pitch softball for many years.
I will always remember her kindness and love for life.
My thoughts and prayers are with Duke and Randy.
Rest in Peace Jackie❤️
Jackie was a great firstbase lady! Played softball with her for many years! We had some great times. Very positive lady! Just found out about her passing. Prayers for her family. RIP my friend!
Jackie and Charlotte met at the playground at the age of 15. They played on different softball teams. The recreation leader introduced them to Mr. Stokes. That was the beginning of one of the legendary women's softball teams ever assembled: The WCHB, Motown Soul Sisters. I was dating Charlotte at that time and became a member of the coaching staff. The core of the Soul Sisters was Charlotte Burris-Howza, Jackie Huggins-Spillman, Vickie, Beatrice Lollor, and Lottie Thomas. Jackie and Charlotte begin their employment relationship with the State of Michigan. Our sincere condolences to Duke and Randy for your loss. Jackie, you will always have a place in our hearts

Jackie and I transitioned from coworkers to friends. She loved to invite friends into her home and sometimes her husband would cook for their guest. Her smiles and easy conversations always made our times memorable. I was blessed to know her from 1977. To her husband and family members my prayers are for all of you to remember all the good times. My sincere condolences, Brenda.
