My cousin, Charlotte, S’wan, Willie and the Darby family, we are sadden to hear of the transitioning of Joe. We pray that in the days to come that you will find peace in remembering the good times the two of you shared as husband and wife and as a family. My prayer is that our God will hold your hands and comfort you as only He can in the days to come. We love you and will continue to pray for God’s strength and love. Carol Lewis & family
To our sister, Charlotte, niece Sawan and Willie, may you find peace and comfort in knowing that loved ones never really go away for they live in our hearts forever. Joe will forever live in our hearts. Joe was always a good big bother. He made me feel welcome as a little sister from the first day we met. I will never forget his phone calls to NC, it was mostly about a football game. The conversations were always short and to the point then he would quickly say “bye”. We are sincerely grateful for his service and sacrifice. I'm certain it came with many sacrifices and thank him. Words are not enough to express the gratitude I hold in my heart for our Joe Arthur Darby.
Love,
Terry, Gwen & TJ Whitehead
