To My Sister Chanita & Family,

I'll be holding you close to my heart, with thoughts and prayers as you grieve the passing of your mother and grandmother.

Chanita, I remember when Pat used to give me .25 cents to go to Rollins Store and buy her a Pepsi. She loved her some Pepsi!! :-) And, .25 cents was a lot of money back then!

I also remember the time when Pat threw a birthday party for you in her basement. She was dipping the ice cream to go along with the cake and asked me if I wanted 1 or 2 scoops. I said 3! Well, she told my Grandmama I asked for 3 scoops, and I got in trouble because my Grandmama felt like I was acting like I didn't have good home training! **SMILE**

They didn't play back then! We were all family by heart and a community by love. I'm so grateful that Pat was a part of my family and village. She looked out for us!!
