Gloria and my sister Gloria Jean Jordan (deceased) were friends, more like sisters, for over 20 years. They worked together for many of those years. My sister often described her as the sweetest person she had ever known. I can say I totally agreed. One of my fondest moments with these two was they would cook their holiday dinners on the phone in two separate houses and stay up all night chatting. They would put each other on hold while they go to the restroom. I would be on the phone with them, and I could never get in a word. But one of them would ask, Faye, are you still there? Lol.
