I knew Alvin Jr as a kid on the north end. He was my loyal friend to the end. They didn't come any kinder, smarter(could do anything), family oriented, funny (he said he was growing hair to donate to his ball headed friends), nor generous. My heartfelt sympathy to Miss Merdis and the family. Each person is given the gift of time on this earth to live, to love, and to leave a legacy. Take comfort in knowing that Alvin Jr made a true difference to others.
