In Loving Memory of a Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
August 25, 1929 – November 17, 2025
Annie Belle Greer, cherished daughter of Wilson Arrington and Rosanna Perdue, was born on August 25, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama. Losing her mother at the age of two, she was taken to Chicago, Illinois, and then moved to Detroit, Michigan by her father. Annie's life was a testament of love, and resilience, and nothing was more important to her than her family. Annie Belle Loved to dress, laugh, dance, and have fun.
In November 1946, she united in marriage with Perkins C. Greer. From this union were born five children: MaryAnn, Myra, twins Donald (who preceded her in death), and David (Marie), and Stanley (Lanaita), who she said will always be her baby.
Annie Belle attended Detroit Public Schools. She later worked in the Dietary Department at Plymouth General Hospital, where she devoted thirteen years. Annie Belle retired from her position due to health concerns but remained a pillar of strength and support for her family and friends.
Annie Belle's legacy lives on in her four living children, her 49 grandchildren, her 54 great-grandchildren, and her 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her memory will also be cherished by a host of other family members and dear friends, all of whom were touched by her unwavering kindness, and willingness to help.
She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered for her selfless love, her warm smile, and her steadfast love for her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this time of loss.
