MS. BERNICE HARDY JONES's Obituary
Bernice (Hardy) Jones, born October 1, 1934 in Eutaw. Alabama. She moved to Detroit at an early age with her parents of B. Edward Hardy and Mary L (Colvin) Hardy.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago. She graduated from Northwestern High School in the City of Detroit, and shortly thereafter, met the love of her life – Sidney Jones.
She later went to work for the US Army Tank Automotive Command, where she worked for more than 25 years. Upon retirement, she went to school to be a florist, as she loved flowers. She worked in numerous places as a florist and even had her own business working from her home. She retired again to take care of her parents.
In addition to her love for flowers, she also loved angels. She has quite a collection. But most of all, she loved her family. She was one of the founding members to arrange the Jones-Burton family reunions.
God decided it was time to bring Bernice home on March 1, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, and all five of her siblings: Mamie, James, Herman, Glover & Jerry. She is survived by her friend & partner Sidney; her children: Daryl, Letitia (Tish) and Eric; her grandchildren: Derrick, Ahsonn, Ahkeim, Christopher, Matthew; her great grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordan, LaShauna, LeShelle, Christopher Jr, Riley, Nyelle, Noelle, Naomi, and 2 great-great grandchildren Kaiden and Kali Love, along with a host of other family and friends. Special acknowledgment to her very dear friends: Fredia Butler, Lucille Powe, LaBarbara Wilson, Thomas Fiedler. Eva Walker-Biffle, and Charlotte Mann.
