Uncle C.L.,
May the lord receive you with his warm embrace as you have portrayed and represented him well in the time he has allowed you to be with us. I have nothing but kind memories of you when I was a child. I’ve spent nearly all my life away from Detroit, but you have always been one of my best remembered Uncle’s. Always the quiet and thoughtful one, has shown me how to be tolerant and patient and allow things to pass and not be so fast in judgment of another. Your words of wisdom and your mannerism, demonstrating how to love and care for others will forever be my memory of you. Your love and caring of others will be remembered by your surviving siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and other acquaintances whom you have touched in your interactions. May you rest in peace and in going home, know that you’ve done a fine job here and left many with a path to emulate.
