I knew Calvin when he was allowed to go to our neighborhood school when In the 4th grade! Mrs. Mc carthy was our teacher. Calvin as her a question about racism and she gave him a heartfelt explanation that seemed that way to this 8 yr. at the time. I was never a personal friend to him but always enjoyed his company when we got to say hi at Balboa functions such as our 5 yr reunions for the past 50 yrs. and all the Bal picnics. He was the type of person that always got along with his fellow man. I am happy to have known him, he was a wonderful example to all who came his way!
