MS. DOROTHY JEAN BIBBS

I first met Bae Bae ( Dorothy ) when I was putting together background singers for a David Ruffin recording session. She, her sister, Shirley and Winona were to be that group. After that deal fell apart, we decided to create a group, Intrigue, composed of Bae, Shirley, Fuzzy ( Winona ) and myself. Although we ( obviously) never became stars, I will never forget her fantastic voice, but moreso, her always upbeat sense of humor that kept us going during all those rehearsals in my parent’s basement.
Even after 40 years, I listen to some of our rehearsal tapes and still smile listening to her singing our theme song , and opening number “we’re here to entertain you “…
