Gerald, my dear friend.
I remember when we met at Reddi Ride February 2007.
You were training me, I was getting ready to get in on the passenger side oh, and you told me oh no I'm not driving you going to do all the driving, I'm just going to sit back and relax for the day. We both laughed. That broke the ice right there and from that day forward we have been best of friends. You were so easy to talk to and you were a very good listener. You always had something positive to say. Man you were the only one I knew other than my uncle in Ohio that could quote that Bible. We've shared some good times together and some bad times. We've always been there to support each other in the loss of our loved ones. Every time we got together we didn't do nothing but laugh and Buddy you could some say some stuff to make me laugh where I had tears coming out of my eyes. I remember the days when your vehicle was down Mike and I was there for you, and when our vehicle was down you were there for us. Now that's what true friends really do for one another. I told you that time you picked up Kenny from work and you was driving so fast and stopped at the last minute yeah, Kenny told me mama, I will walk home before I ride with Mr Gerald again. We cracked up because, you scared the life out of him. His eyes were big are grapefruits in that back seat. Yeah Gerald we had some fun times. When you came by our home you never left without a plate of food. You were a very good friend to my husband Mike, he thought the world of you. I just want to say Gerald I'm going to truly miss you. There wasn't anyting we couldn't talk about at all. I came to you when I needed advice. You've always had a ear to listen. You wasn't judgmental you just told the truth. My friend I'm going to end it like this. I'm going to truly miss you, I'm going to miss those long conversations those laughs and just talking about life in general. Gerald you will forever have a place in my heart. You were a good man, a true friend and I will dearly miss you. We will see each other again and pick up where we left off.
Love Charlotte
