W. Gloria Middlebrook
Gloria was born in Detroit, Michigan to the parents of William and Irma Gordon.
Born on February 19, 1924, she was the third daughter of Baptist parents from Aberdeen, Mississippi. She graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee and received a Masters degree from Wayne State
Gloria married George Middlebrook in 1951 with a union that last 52 years. From their union, Gloria had 2 children, Glenora (Collins) and George G. Middlebrook.
She worked as a lifelong educator with Detroit Public Schools ending her 40-year career. Gloria retired as a principal in 1992.
