I met Jenetria at Loyola working with the basketball team. My sincerest condolences to you, her family. I remember her as a hard worker with a big smile. So fun to watch play and even better to have known her. Peaceful journey, J. Rest easy. ❤️

Jai is so much more than a coworker and a friend. Jai is gifted and brilliant. Jai is a force to be reckoned with. Basketball, Coach, Friend, Loving Parent, Protective. Beautiful smile, omg, melts your heart always! So swaggy! So wise, so youthful, and very strong physically, as well as in mind and spirit. Fiercely independent. Confident. Nurturing. A cultivator, innovator...And so much more, I just humbly couldn't do justice. You'll search to the end of the universe, and you'll never find another like Jai. There is only one. A favorite event with Jai is Christmas 2022, (although 2023 was EPIC!!).
I was Jai's 'Secret Santa'. We had each made request slips with our name, and 3 items we would like, to give the Santa an idea of a gift choice, then 'drew from the hat'. When I found out I got Jai, I thought I had won the lottery! I couldn't believe I had pulled my favorite person! I was like, "Omg, I hope Jai won't think I pulled them on purpose," Lol. Well, I was so happy, and so honored. I felt so lucky! I wouldn't waste a chance to bless such an incredible person as Jai! And Jai's birthday is also Christmas Eve... So I decided to get everything on that list! When I tell you I was so excited to give Jai their gifts, I would have given it early lol. When it was my turn, I got the gifts and came to Jai. I said "Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year..." Jai was so surprised. We all enjoyed watching, as Jai opened all the gifts, one by one. It was so precious. Jai had been through so much, and I was hoping this would bring some sunshine. In the past Jai mentioned not being a hugger. That day, for the first time, I saw Jai's beautiful smile, and they gave me a hug. I can't describe how beautiful it was to see my Jai so happy, and you could feel it! I will forever be so touched by that moment.
To Mama J, ...No words ever seem to be adequate. I am sending you so much love, and I will be there for you in any way I can.
To Jenetria, aka Jai, aka Neechie Boo; incredibly badass, with literally the hardest name in history-- Jai Harden!!... When you're off vacation with your granddaddy, (tell him I said, "Hi, I've heard so much about you!) and you're done hanging with the Golden Girls, don't forget about my hooping lessons! Condolences and prayers to the family of Jenetria. We went to McMillan together, I have fond memories of her growing up.
