MS. JUANITA SIMMONS-MCKINNIE

I remember what a great and driven student Nita was, while working on her speech pathology degree at Wayne State University and at the same time raising 3 kids. During that time she and I co-wrote a children's book for one of her classes. The illustrations were done by my late husband and her bro, Sonny who was a great artist. She earned an A for that book titled, " What Comes Out Of A Magic Hat". Life happened and we didn't get around to pursuing our dream to publishing it and writing other books. It was still a great experience, as we stayed up all nite laughing until we completed it! She was indeed a fearless warrior. Rest well my sister, you are home now!
