My sincere condolences to the family of Lillie Ruth Jemison Dunn. We met in kindergarten, and she was a lifelong friend of mine. As young adults we followed our separate paths in life, but through the years, we always found a way to reconnect. Whenever we did, it was as if we'd never been apart. She was ever the same, the same wise words and ways about her, the same "honey chile, let me tell you something" stories, the same infectious laughter. I so enjoyed just being with Lillie. We last talked in 2018, recalling our salad days at Boynton Elementary, the friends we shared, the hours we spent at one another's homes. She will be sorely missed, but I know everyone who knew Lillie has wonderful memories to keep.
