Lionel Campbell 1)2 of the Campbell Twins. Take your rest my friend, brother, & classmate. You will be missed.💔
Lional Campbell was one of the first standouts in the history of the Northwood track and field program. He became just the second Northwood track and field athlete to become an All-American, earning the honor in 1978. He is also one of just three track and field athletes to earn All-America recognition in three separate seasons (1978, 1979, 1980). He still holds Northwood records in the 110 meter hurdles outdoors (13.87) and the 55 meter hurdles indoors (7.27). Both of those records have stood at Northwood since 1980. Campbell was a key part of Northwood’s GLIAC Championship team from the outdoor season in 1980. -Jim Knapp, Track Coach at Northwood University
To the entire Campbell family, we the Johnson family originally from Beechwood, send our sincerest condolences, praying that God gives you all the strength to endure 🙏🏿, we all grew up together & he will truly be missed.
Sending our love & prayers to you all.❤️🙏🏿
Lional, you, Lynn, and I knew each other since we 3 years old. We hadn't even started school(Kindergarten)yet. Our houses were back to back, we live on Beechwood, and your family lived on Polk. I remember how you, Lynn, and I used to talk back and forth across the alley, because we knew that we better not cross that alley on either side. What wonderful cherished memories I have, and will never forget you my friend. Now you are able to rest in Paradise, Prayer, and Peace in the bosom of our heavenly Father's arms.
