Dear Mr. & Mrs. Dinkins, I am so saddened to hear of Bookee’s passing. I remember all the fun we had playing together growing up on Indiana. He was always mischievous and funny! And later on, we were colleagues for a brief period, working at the detention center together. He had such a positive impact on the young men under our care. I will be praying for all of you and for Bookee’s family.

Through all the trials and tribulations, you and Mansfield continued to give all you had to serve the Lord, and the community. There are no other words to express how proud that God knew what he w2as doing when he put you two together. Mansfield was always receptive, courteous, and honest when ever we spoke, and he made me more proud when he always expressed his blessings for you!! God is in control, a as you stated, you will see him again and the journey continues!! Always here for you!!

I send sincere condolences to this wonderful family that I remember when I was an Assistant Principal at Chadsey High School (1985-1997). Mansfield was always a kind and respectful student. I'm sure he touched the lives of many in positive ways. May the love of family and friends comfort you during this difficult time.
