Although I have not lived in Detroit since 1968, on all my Detroit visits I made sure I visited with my aunt Mary.
No matter how I was feeling, her effervescent smile was like a wonderful sunshine glow uplifting my spirit. I looked forward to and loved our conversations--she watched me grow into a man, father and grandfather. I will continue to remember her as that especially loving, giving person of great character. Rest in heaven.
