You’ll never see this, but that isn’t the purpose of the post. The purpose of this post is so that a community we can mourn. And so that as a community those who read it can celebrate your life as well.
Dear Aunt Mattie, the last of The Bean family. I smile thinking of your greeting to me every time I saw you and even on the phone since I’ve been away from home. It was always so full of love, and as a result, every time I smiled, laughed, and felt the love inside.
Thank you for always showing me i mattered and I was loved. Especially during my too cool for school phase. When I would try and not let you love me and you still did it anyway. And for that I thank you. I wish I would have listened to that little voice inside. Although you were normal loving great spirited self, a little voice in my head told me to come home just to see you before the end of the October.
Selfishly, I’m want to be home for your home going, but I’m so glad that the rest of family is there. And so thankful for our time spent over my 37 years. Although my heart mourns, because of the time spent it is at peace as well.
Love always
Lil Stevie
My Grandma Liz had such an infectious smile and laugh! Such a gentle soul with a calm demenor to match. You could see the God in her and she will be missed
