Mother Ashford was one of the Mothers that welcomed my husband and I in at the Fountain of Truth over 35 years ago. We worked along side of her in ministry and she taught us lifelong lessons. Rest well Mother, you will forever be in our hearts.

Mrs. Ashford has known me and my family most of my life. I am the eldest of nine siblings. Our families lived in the same neighborhood, we attended the same schools and church until we became young adults. Mrs. Ashford and my mother were the youngest mothers of the community and both managed to live over twenty years into the twenty first century. A blessing!!! Mom received her wings in 2021, leaving Mrs. Ashford to be the longest living mother of our childhood community. We were reared by all of the young mothers. It's true it takes a village to raise children. May our God continue to uplift and strengthen each one of you during this time of bereavement. Love, Christine Wilson Miller and the Wilson families.
