I worked with Orville from February 12, 2019 and quickly realized he was a man after God's own heart. I have fond memories of him that will last a life time. He was a calm, patient and kindhearted young man with a beautiful smile. I just can not believe he has passed away but he will always be considered a friend. He was instrumental in coaching me as I was training to ride for my annual bike ride. I would complain about the rain and he would tell me a true athlete will train in all types of weather but this could not convince me to venture out in the rain. Although, I appreciated his advise. Also, I wanted to reach out to a YouTuber and he coached me on how to approach him and to this day we are friends all because he took the time to tell me how to communicate with him. Also, when I was looking for some place to house my zz plant during the winter. He volunteered to plant sit until he got sick. He would send me photos and tell me when rain water was needed for the plant. He treated her like it was his own. Also, I sponsor a child in Ghana and whenever I get the urge to withdraw from giving. Orville would always say "don't cut off the African". I would laugh and low and behold I would still give because of Orville. Jerry I will her Orville's voice when I get the urge to cut you off in the future. In addition, I was Orville's personal shopper. Whenever, I would go to Whole Foods at lunch time he would ask me to bring him fruit and whatever else I thought he needed. We both became oatmeal cookie addicts. Orville son realized when had to stop because we would eat about a box ever other day.
In conclusion, I will miss him dearly just thinking about his friendship I tear up. I am truly a better person for having known him for such a short while but his love for life makes me want to run on a little further to see what the end will bring. RIP my friend until the judgement.
Respectfully,
Dupree
