MR. REGINALD LEON MATTISON III's Obituary
Reginald Leon Mattison Ill, affectionately know as Reggie, was born November 14, 1995 in Detroit, MI to Lucrecia(Lucy) Love and Reginald (Pooh) Mattison Jr.
Reggie was a free spirit, and would often refer to himself as a Nomad as he was always on the go. While he has lived many places such as Virginia, Washington State and Atlanta, Ecorse was always home.
As a child, Reggie was a self starter. He had natural talent. He excelled in all endeavors. He was an awesome big brother. He was intelligent, athletic, caring and compassionate. He was a thinker and a doer. He enjoyed reading, sports, playing the keyboard and seeking knowledge. His smile could light up the darkest spaces. He loved his family deeply.
Reggie was a 2013 graduate of Ecorse Community High School. Soon after graduation he joined the United States Navy; at age 17 he went off to explore the world. After the Navy, Reggie worked in the shipyards as a painter, but later moved on to other construction venues. He completed a training program at YearUP Greater Atlanta that would help him secure a position as a Data Analyst with Cardlytics.
Reggie departed this life Monday June 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Reggie, Grandma Sheri, Granda Pat, Uncle John and Uncle Randy. He was Snookie's(Cheryl) first great-grandson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His parents Lucy(Waldo) and Pooh(Lauren); his brothers Brent, Taiyon, Shaquille and Christopher; his sisters Alonna, Layla and Nyla; his niece Kinsley Rose and a host of relatives and friends.
