To My Brother, With Love
You were the hands that steadied me when I was small,
the quiet strength that stood so tall.
A protector then, and always true,
a heart that gave without asking for you.
You cared for me when I had no way to see
the world ahead, or who I’d grow to be.
Through every season, joy and pain,
your love remained, unchained, unchanged.
A father’s heart to the little ones you held,
in stories, laughter, and lessons you spelled.
To nieces and nephews, your legacy runs deep,
in memories they’ll carry and promises they’ll keep.
To my sister’s heart, you were home and grace,
a husband’s love time cannot erase.
And though your voice is now softly still,
your love moves through us—always, it will.
So rest now gently, your work is done,
your race is finished, your victory won.
And though we ache for the light you were,
we honor your life, your love, your stir.
