Tribute to Timothy S. Crawford
I was deeply humbled to learn of the passing of Mr. Timothy S. Crawford. Although he passed in 2020, I only recently came across this information after searching for him for many years.
I worked for Mr. Crawford very early in my career, back in the late 1980s, when he was a young, sharp, vibrant attorney and CPA practicing in downtown Detroit at the Marquette Building on West Congress.
Mr. Crawford was brilliant. He carried himself with confidence, discipline, and excellence. I remember the impressive clients who came through his office, the major cases he handled, and the rows of beautiful briefcases he kept after each important victory. That memory stayed with me because it showed how much pride he took in his work and how seriously he honored success.
He taught me a great deal about taxes, criminal law, professionalism, and the importance of being prepared. At that early stage of my life, working in his office gave me exposure to a level of legal and business excellence I have never forgotten.
I also remember the love he had for his family. His mother and niece worked with him in the office, and they were wonderful. It was meaningful to see a small business owner surrounded by family, support, loyalty, and love.
Mr. Crawford made a lasting impression on me. He will be truly missed, forever respected, and always admired.
With sincere condolences and lasting respect,
