MS. YVONEE MARIE GOLDEN

Vibrant, energetic, a bright light, someone who commanded the room, her energy just filled the space. She was a performer, a show stopper. There was just a "boom" wherever she was. This is the only way I can describe Yvonne. In her (unknowingly) final days, there was a wisdom, a knowledge that came upon her - about life, family, children, our community, the black community, the black family unit. She just "got it" and knew it - and quite possibly, that's why her spirit knew it was time to move on to the higher place and to soar and be with our Great One, our God. Yvonne achingly missed her Daddy - never recovering from his loss, never learning how to live without him.

Our spirits are heavy with this loss. There is anger, questions, confusion, disbelief as to how and why this bright spirit left us so soon, too soon. But let there be a peace that comes over us in knowing where this loving light moved onward to - who she is with, how free she is, how elevated she is, and more importantly, how peaceful she is. I believe in my heart, her spirit has gone on and God held her in his arms and said, "Well done, daughter. Well done!"
